Lovers in Ballet

BY DOMINIQUE MONTOYA-JOHNSON TO RHAYA

Seen as children, now you have sprouted in form.
Paired to the great tree,
You have become sweet as fruits should be to the nourished body,
Not poisonous.
Together, find rest and solace,
So, you are freed from the constraints of this world,
Even what separates you materially.
May your hidden light find passage.
Make way for it. Make way {whispered}.
